1969 Firebird by David Moore
SEMA 2017 brought this lime metallic green 69 Firebird build. This Firebird is stocked full of Restomod Air products. Starting with Membrane thermal insulation and sound dampening material. David covered this 69 in Membrane because he knew of the four-layer material that prevents your vehicle from being robbed of the climate control temperature. The Firebird is truly insulated sound and temp.
To cool this lime metallic green 1969 Firebird he went with the Haymaker II B/T. This is our Bluetooth Connectivity version of our Haymaker II Full-Size Unit. To control the evaporator he downloaded the Atmosphere app. Our exclusive free app (patent pending) available in the Apple App store or Google Play store to control your A/C. Use any iOS or Android device, No wires, No dash mounted controls needed.
David custom made a center dash bezel to fill factory 69 firebird heater control slot. It is anodized black and has a carbon fiber insert inside the hourglass. He then picked Synister Razor 8 vane vents to go into this custom housing. David also has some Synister GM Replacement 5 vane vents.
In the engine compartment, there is a Synister Quantum round bulkhead to connect all the a/c hoses for a professional build. A full 67-69 condenser kit was used, TruMOD of course. Restomod Air Serpentine Belt Drive Kit was installed and came complete with all of the necessary precision CNC machined billet aluminum brackets & pulleys, which are made in the USA.
This lime metallic green 1969 Firebird received the 2017 Ultimate Style Killer Performance Award at SEMA. David bought this firebird when he was 17 and was sitting in his yard for 27 years. Over 2.5 years David put in 4000 hours into this build, He stated that this was his first build.
